Allana and Justin were married at Carlos Creek Winery on what turned out to be one of the most perfect August days for an outdoor ceremony. Everyone was so relaxed and enjoyed the entire day, and I had no shortage of beautiful places, details, and great moments to photograph.
Guys take about two seconds to get ready in comparison to girls – ha! They had some drinks and time to hang out before heading over to the venue in what I think is the coolest “man cave” ever!
I love Justin’s reaction during the first look moment.
Here’s Riley – stealing the show! :)
Being an outdoor ceremony, we photographers are able to move around more without distracting guests. I love the moments with the parents we were able to get.
Each table was surprised with their very own cheesecake – with sparklers! It was a fun race for us to get as many photos as we could before the sparklers burned up. :)
Perk of the job – I get go into super unique places I otherwise wouldn’t be allowed into. The Winery so generously let us photograph in the cellar. Love!
A big internet hug to you, Allana and Justin. And Riley. ;) Cheers!!!

Sarah and Jon celebrated their wedding at what I discovered to be one of my favorite new Minneapolis event venues – Orchestra Hall! A big thank you to the talented Nicolle with Mother of The Bride wedding planning for creating such a gorgeous event. Enjoy the photos!
…. and now, so many pictures of the flower girl and ring bearer. I couldn’t resist, they were adorable!
The Ketubah signing!
A cocktail hour, and details, details, details! :)
The styling was both elegant and fun! Sarah and Jon are both physicians, hence the fun cake topper. :)
You should all be proud of me – I didn’t steal one chocolate while photographing the tables. :)
The food… it was as tasty as it looks!
Let’s have another discussion about Orchestra Hall. One of the most beautiful dance floors I’ve ever seen – dancing in a room with floor to ceiling glass, with the skyline of Minneapolis behind you. Incredible.
Congratulations Sarah and Jon – thank you for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day!
Cheers! To a great team of vendors who made this beautiful event happen:

Amanda and Gunnar are pretty much the coolest couple ever. They had an intimate wedding at the St. Paul City hall, and reserved much of the day for portraits around the town. It was a day filled with such love – they even got ready together in their apartment.
Here are the bridal details – I swear threw them on the table and they just landed like that. ;)
Gunnar and Zepplin. Zepplin had many opinions on Gunnar’s outfit.
The bridal party!
That portrait of Amanda is one of my favorite exposure of the year!
They have a sweet convertible so we had lots of fun with these photos. :)
We took a little break, and then met up after the sun had set for some skyline photos. Totally worth it.
Alas, I’m a much better photographer than I am writer. There are truly no words to express how grateful I am to have met these two!
Kate and Bill!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better couple. Impeccable style, good sense of humor, easy going, with ceremony and reception at the Weisman Art Museum. Yea!
Kate helped Al Franken get elected, so this note was on display. So neat!
Cheers to a rockstar team or vendors!

What a treat it was to photograph around the Wayzata Depot – the spot where Tony Proposed to Jillian!
Tony and Jillian surprised us all with a salsa for their first dance!
I always love a good “mood” shot of the party.
This wouldn’t have been possible without some teamwork!
