Ellen and Kristiaan married!

Ellen and Kristiaan… where do I even start with these two?  They hug like they mean it, laugh like they mean it, and are so crazy about each other the day was non-stop emotion and beautiful moments all over the place.  That along with the handiwork of Style Architects planner Rachelle there was never a shortage of really great photo opportunities!   Ceremony and reception at Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis!

Yep- about a million pics from the “first look” because as I’ve mentioned, SO MANY GOOD MOMENTS.

Loving Kitchen – where Kristiaanproposed!

Really, we couldn’t stop photographing the flower girls and ring bearers!

The photo (above right) where Kristiaan takes her hand is one of my favorites!!   Seriously – l look at his expression.  Love.  :)

Just giddy excited to be married.  :)

The below is also one of my favorites!  We caught a ride on one of these things (what are they called? ha)  to Britt’s Pub during cocktail hour.  SO MUCH FUN.

Details galore!

The below photos are all literally from the matron of honor’s speech.  Hands down one of the best speeches I’ve ever heard!  (Looking through the pics I bet you are jealous you weren’t there… because just look at how much fun they are having).

Megan & Jordan’s ARIA wedding

This wedding happened to involve one of my favorite combinations:  Megan and Jordan, and Aria.  High school sweethearts, these two are crazy in love.  They are also crazy fun to photograph…  they can be sweet, classic, edgy, editorial and are complete naturals in front of the camera.  With a venue like Aria – there are so many opportunities for cool photographs that they scheduled and prioritized portrait time (yes!!!)  So prepare yourselves for a blog with lots of portraits!!!

Another thing I want to note – I love the music all day long here.  From the singer/songwriter during the ceremony, to the grand march music.  Well chosen you two!

One of the coolest spots to hang a dress!

Jordan and the guys got ready in one of the VIP rooms – excellent choice.

The sweetest group of bridesmaids ever!

I tried to tailor the look of each portrait to the setting.  Chandeliers = romance.

I took sweet smiley photos by the flag, but I think the “American Gothic” style works well here!

My favorite set of images – the lighting makes everything look so dimensional and almost 3D, highlighting the detail in the lace.  I asked Megan and Jordan to be more serious given the lighting + background and they pulled it off perfectly.

Girls that look like Megan would make girls like me super jealous, if it wasn’t for the fact that she is the sweetest person ever!

Twinkle lights!

The below is my 2nd photographer’s shot.  Thank you Karin, for your amazing brain!

The string lights added an extra somethin’ that I love about this shot!

Megan and Jordan, I am the luckiest of photographers to have had the opportunity to be a part of your wedding!

Megan & Adam

Megan and Adam celebrated a beautiful wedding day with ceremony at Church of Christ the King in Minneapolis and reception at St. Paul Athletic Club! I usually never take the wedding dress outside for photos (too risky, I say!) however I couldn’t resist this charming yellow door. I love how many great candid moments we were able to capture during the ceremony.  Ceremony officiated by the coolest priest ever! Blogging receiving line photos – because why not?  Great smiles, hugs, and moments. The bridal party and I headed over to St. Paul for a few photos – it was a reallllyyyy hot day, so a big thank you to the bridal party for being such troopers!  Their wedding was elegant and classic – so I thought this setting with St. Paul old world charm of iron fences, the fountain, and greenery fit perfectly. Pretty!!! It’s the small details – I chose this exposure for blogging because I love the ribbon in the wind. We had enough time for a more urban look – love the skyline and blue skies! The bridal party had a great sense of humor and the entire room was in stitches during the toasts! I adore the moment in the bottom-right photo.  So incredibly sweet. Part-ay! Emily & Ben – Minikahda Club

Emily and Ben were marred at the Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis with reception at one of my favorite venues in town – the Minikahda Club!  They are the SWEETEST couple, easy to photograph, and with the vibrant colors and details of the wedding I was a happy photographer.  A big thank you to Jennifer with Premier Planning Services for helping to plan and run such an amazing day!   Fun fact:  Emily went to Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC (from ‘Say yes to the Dress’) to find her dress!

The light in the getting ready room was as good as it gets – I could photograph in there all day.  It really highlighted the wedding dress beautifully so prepare for a ton of getting ready pics here.  :)

The below photo of Emily’s mother helping with the veil is one of my favorites!

She is so gorgeous.

Also two photos of her putting on her shoes – once again in love with the images, and how it shows off the detail in the dress!

A first look – I love the front courtyard at the club.

The guys (who were such a great bunch).  Poor groomsmen in the back broke his leg just before the wedding… he was such a trooper all day!

I try to capture some candid moments during family formals…  such sweet moments with Emily and her grandmother, and Ben and his mother!

I wanted to give Emily and Ben a beautiful veil portrait SO BAD but it wasn’t cooperating. haha   Thanks to my assistant we were able to swing this and I love the result!

Perfect weather for a cocktail hour outside!

An adorable photo when cutting the cake!

I’m obsessed with the florals from this wedding – they really weren’t afraid to go for it with incorporating such vibrant colors!  Props to Russell with Wisteria Design!

The late night snack was a Gelato station!

A sparkler sendoff!

Jaclyn & Andy – Lafayette Club

Within the first few minutes of meeting Jaclyn and Andy I immediately knew they are so my type of couple.  I realllllyyy wanted to photograph their wedding – they are made for each other, planned a gorgeous wedding, and are SO FUN.  The wedding was at Holy Name of Jesus in Wayzata with reception at the Lafayette Club.  Enjoy the pics!

These two are perfect for each other – they both got each other the same wedding day gift – rock climbing gear!

The bottom right photo (above) – this cracked me up – all the bridesmaids brushing teeth before they got dressed.  Ha!

The first look…

The flower girls were adorable!!

Andy was just a little bit excited to be married to Jaclyn.  :)

The reception room was elegant and gorgeous – fit the Lafayette club perfectly!

These two are just so in love with each other – you can see it all over the photos.  Love!!

The bride/dad, groom/mother dances were done with pizzaz.

The top-left dancing picture is my favorite ever!  So awesome!
