Heather & Dustin

Heather and Dustin!  I know that even as I type I cannot begin to describe the wonderful person she is.  I met Heather through my sister-in-law….  Heather’s uber talented, and has the hugest heart – like throughout this wedding photography process I’ve gotten several beautifully written emails and cards type of sweetheart.  She’s quite the catch, and I’m so thankful that she found Dustin!  I jokingly call Heather “Martha Stewart’.  Seriously, she could give Martha a run for her money.  This is a DIY wedding to the max.  All of the reception details were handmade, she sewed the flower girl dresses, handmade her own marshmallows for s’mores (um, who knew you could hand make marshmallows?!?!), MADE HER OWN VANILLA EXTRACT to go into the made-from-scratch cakes for the reception… and much more.  Dustin is a true gentlemen from the great state of Oklahoma and has a heart to match Heather’s.  It was an all around relaxed and fun day at the Blue Horse Farm in WI for family and friends to enjoy!

LOVED her dress – I love how the dimensional light highlights the lace of her dress.

Bright happy flowers by Kalos Floral.

Another one of my favorite images blow and to the right, when everyone prayed over the couple at the ceremony.

Best.  Hug.  Ever.  So much love.

There were lots and lots of cute kids here!  (I also want to say Heather handmade the ties for the ring bearers on the right?)  The little guy on the left gave himself a marker mustache. :)

S’mores with handmade marshies following dinner!

I’m so happy for you friends!!!!  You are such a beautiful couple inside and out.  Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day!

Clare and Jason

Clare and Jason!!!!  From the first time we met, I knew it was going to be a great time.  I think we chatted and laughed the entire meeting.  They’ve got a great sense of humor, and a spunky, energetic personality that lights up a room.  The only thing I didn’t like about this wedding was when I had to go home….    to a house without power for six days!  This was the evening of a major downpour storm in the Twin Cities that knocked trees and power lines down.  When I got home, nobody in my neighborhood had power and we weren’t back online for another week!  Good thing was that the storm didn’t happen until the reception was started, so it didn’t affect the wedding at all.  Now onto the pics!

Green!! Perfect for a June wedding.  :)

BAM – Clare you are gorgeous.

They were married at the Church of St. Cecilia in St. Paul.

Recessional pics – always some of my favorites!!!

Reception at the Metropolitan Ballroom and catered by D’Amico (one of my favorite caterers in town).

This couple is well loved – the venue was packed!!

It was a good party.  Clare’s dad knew how to bust a move (pictured in top-middle).  ;)   I also love the wide angle of the dance floor.  This setting is such a beautiful feature of the Met ballroom.

Wahooo Clare and Jason – you make a great husband and wife team!!!

Ty and Betsy

Somebody’s going to be catching up on blogging this weekend.  Huzzah!  I know I haven’t been blogging much – it’s been busy busy busy shooting lots of great weddings and engagement sessions, and adjusting to my new life as a mama.  In June I was the lucky gal who got to shoot Ty and Betsy’s wedding (that’s right – another Betsy.  Ty has good taste, because Betsy’s are awesome).  I met Ty years ago when I was a nerd (computer tech) at Breck school.  He’s seriously one of the nicest guys ever, and an amazing teacher.  He deserves someone like Betsy and I’m so glad you found each other!

You can see in the pics – they are super fun and relaxed people who enjoyed their wedding day from start to finish.  I thought these were cute – a little wind during their first look moment.

Below is one of my favorite images from the day. :)

The lovely bright flowers were by Christine’s Floral Touch.  The flowers girls were adorable!

I love bright colors – bridesmaids dresses from J.Crew.

Ceremony at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.  This is the 2nd time I’ve photographed here.  The people who work at the church have always been inviting and kind to my team.

A wide angle lens pretty much always make architecture look awesome.  I love the first moments a couple has after exiting a ceremony.

Ty and his groomsmen rocked fedora hats!

Betsy’s father sings in a fun barbershop quartet!  They provided some entertainment at the reception.  Super fun with smiles and laughs for all.

Congrats Ty and Betsy – I’m so happy for you both!!

Kristin and Brad

Kristin and Brad!  Such a sweet couple – Kristin has the type of personality and smile that just lights up a room.  It was an exciting day in Stillwater for two reasons:  one is that they were married, but two is that there was a bank robbery and bomb threat just down the road from us!  They didn’t let it phase them though and enjoyed a delightful wedding day. :)

They were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater.

My favorite ever – they had Nadia’s Cakes (out of Maple Grove).  I’m super addicted to that place!!!

Congratulations you two – thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day!

Eloise & Rajeev – wedding!

Eloise and Rajeev were married at the Minikahda Club on May 25th.  Such an incredibly beautiful and fun day throughout, and I am so thankful to have been a part of it!  A big THANK YOU to Kari and her team at The Bliss Life!

SO beautiful.

The guys!

The pretty bridesmaids.  I’m obsessed with the color palette of this wedding!

Their getaway car was a vintage Volkswagen!

They were married at one of my favorite churches – St. Marks Episcopal Cathedral in Minneapolis.

Eloise and Rajeev were surprised with Chinese Lanterns!

Congratulations Eloise and Rajeev!!!

Last but not least, time for a little vendor love!
