I was so happy to be a part of Melissa and Gustavo’s St. Paul Cathedral and St. Paul Hotel wedding. While they met in school in Iowa, Gustavo is from Brazil. Now that they have tied the knot, they can finally always be together! I loved how elegantly styled this wedding day was, it was perfect for the classic downtown St. Paul setting. Enjoy!
I couldn’t get enough Melissa portrait time – she was such a beautiful bride!
The Cathedral photographs so beautifully.
Very special – Melissa’s brother was the priest for the wedding.
The sun was almost down by the time we had everyone together, but we managed to pull off some beautiful natural light images before it was completely dark out!
The image below is one of my favorite exposures of the entire year. Gah – such a soft beautiful romantic moment. Shot super wide at 1.2 (the sun was gone) and lit by a street lamp nearby. :) Sometimes having to work within the “make it work” situations, portraits end up being some of the most creative.
And really, we can still rock portraits even after the sun goes down. :)
High fives to La Petite Fleur for some gorgeous flowers.
This wedding had exceptionally guests. There is no shortage of really fun candid moments from the night!
The dance floor was packed from the start and I had just as much photographing as they were busting moves on the dance floor!
Congratulations Melissa & Gustavo!!

Megan and Jon were married at Ridgewood Church in Minnetonka with an Interlachen Country Club reception. When I arrived it was rainy which was originally a bummer because we really wanted to take advantage of the fall colors. We were lucky though, and were able to do some beautiful portraits inside and then the rain cleared up just in time to swing by a nearby park. Hurray!
The lighting brings out such beautiful detail in the dress.
I just love the moment in this portrait!
The girls! Does the bridesmaid on the left look familiar? :)
Megan thought ahead and brought some cute umbrellas for the bridal party.
Love the story being told with the photo on the right.
Interlachen is such a beautiful venue!
A fantastic evening was had by all!
Let’s have a discussion about the Macaroons on the left. Shall we? I’ve never bothered trying one at any of my previous weddings. Sure I thought they’d be tasty, but I just thought they were frosting with cake on each side. I WAS SO WRONG. Megan encouraged me to try one and I saw the light. As it turns out, they are actually made of magic. And are amazing. I won’t even tell you how many of these I had. ;)
Congratulations Megan and Jon, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day!
Props to the vendors who helped with the day!
What a beautiful day Kim and Todd’s wedding was! They were married at Wayzata Community Church with a tent reception in Todd’s family’s backyard. What a sweet day with a great couple, family, and friends. Also a shout out to Cally with Mother of the Bride for doing such a wonderful job on this wedding. Enjoy the photos! :)
This is one of my favorite photos of the day. What a great smile, Kim! :)
Was so happy with this perfect setting for the bridesmaids photos… fit the blush pink dresses perfectly!
… this shindig wouldn’t have been possible without a great team of vendors!

Kelly and Adam were married on what turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day in September. Such a fun and gorgeous couple!
Adam is an avid golfer, and for his groomsmen gifts he gave a custom engraved golf club. I thought that was a great idea!
The ceremony was a Valley Community Presbyterian Church, which was also where Kelly’s parents were married!
Something I’m bringing back – a traditional photograph on the altar, so my couples can have an image to match their parents and grandparent’s wedding photos. :) This is Kelly and Adam’s heritage photo on the left, and the heritage table at the reception on the right.
Such a cool church!!!!
The unity candle wouldn’t light, a relaxed bride and groom just laughed it off!
Reception at the Golden Valley Golf Club!
A Buttercream cake. YUM!
Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day – congratulations!!
pppparrrrtttaaaaayyyy! Day two of Hali and Drew’s wedding shindig at Aria at the Jeune Lune. This was an amazing day for all, especially my team. In addition to being insanely gorgeous (the couple and the decor) the day was infused with fun unique personal touches from the grooms cake Hali surprised Drew with, a mario brothers song performed by the quartet, an appearance by Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper (Robin of Gateaux), beautiful custom calligraphy everywhere…. and so much more. Hali and Drew also set aside time to use this amazing venue to its full potential, and we took lots of fun studio-lit portraits inside. With how beautiful everything was (a fist pump for you, Julia LaCroix), the opportunity to be unique with indoor portraits, and a little Star Wars action, I pretty much was in photographer heaven. Enjoy the show! :)
A big shout out to a dream team of vendors who made this all happen!
